Wedding planning guide

Do I need a photo booth if I already have a photographer?

They do different jobs. A photographer documents the day; a booth gives guests an activity and creates informal group photographs throughout the evening.

A photographer captures the wedding. A booth captures the party.

Your photographer will focus on the ceremony, portraits, speeches and the important moments around the couple and close family. A photo booth creates a separate relaxed space where guests can take their own group photographs repeatedly during the reception.

Why both can work together

The booth keeps producing photographs after formal photography has slowed down. It encourages combinations of friends, colleagues and relatives who may not otherwise end up in the same picture.

Printed strips, digital sharing and optional guest books also give the booth a different role from the main wedding gallery.

Choose the booth around the venue

Open-plan booths are useful for larger group shots and quicker queues. Enclosed booths provide privacy and the traditional booth experience. The correct choice depends on the available space, guest count and the style of the wedding.
